Turret gun – Cinema 4D, Xpresso

Here is a recent Xpresso exercise I did – a sci-fi turret gun.

  • aims at the target
  • vertical barrel movement restriction
  • fire is triggered when target is within range.

  1. Hi, I’m new in C4D and I want to use your Xpresso setup for my own turret gun on model of spaceship. Don’t you mind to send me this project? It would be really helpful.
    Thank you.

  2. I emailed you the project file.

  3. I don’t get it you say that the turret fires when the target is in range but you’re only feeding in rotation, not distance. How does that work?

    • Correct, perhaps I miscalled it. What I meant was, the fire triggers when the target is within accepted rotational range of the barrel not the distance(i.e when target is directly above the turret or below the horizon, the fire will halt)

  4. Second question: Why don’t you feed the bool output directly to the emitters like you did to the vibrate tag? What does the condition node do?

    • Honestly, I don’t remember. It was awhile ago when I posted that ;). I believe it is unnecessary. You want me to send you the project file? Drop me an email.

  5. please !!! send me this project to =)
